Grief and Loss

Do you wonder if you're grieving 'properly'? Are you worried it's taking 'too long' to get over your loss?

Grief is a natural emotional reaction to the experience of loss. No two people will go through it the same way. Grief can occur in relation to the death of someone, or it can be experienced after a significant life change like a break-up, job loss, or medical diagnosis.

How you deal with grief will depend on many factors like your beliefs, cultural background, support system, or other stressors in your life. There is no 'right' way to grieve, and yes, it takes time to heal.

Sometimes grief may last a long time and begin to affect how people live  - they may struggle to get through their day, or have intense feelings of anger or guilt associated with the loss. I work with you to help process the painful emotions and help you reconnect with others when you're ready to do so. We will explore the meaning in your experience to help you reconcile with your loss.
