"It takes a village to raise a child." - African proverb

Caring for Medically Fragile Children*

Caring for a child with complex physical and medical needs can sometimes feel like surfing. Yes, it can be physically and mentally draining and downright scary at times. But it can also be meaningful and rewarding and life-affirming.

Taking time to care for yourself while attending to your child's needs isn't always easy. Maintaining your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being is important, but sometimes you might need a little bit of help building this into your busy life.

I provide single or short-term counselling sessions where you can:

work through a specific personal issue
learn how to incorporate coping and self-care strategies into your day, or
press the daily reset button without guilt or shame.

The focus of these sessions will be on you, your inner resources, and the tools that will help you to restore your balance and be ready to catch the next wave. Please click the button below to ask me more.

*Medically fragile children have multi-system chronic conditions associated with severe cognitive and/or physical limitations. They are followed by two or more medical specialties, require extensive and coordinated health care support, and are dependent on technology and medication to help maintain their quality of life.
